The Cabin Chiang Mai, Asia’s leading addiction treatment centre, played host to a group of psychiatrists from Malaysia on 22nd August, 2015. The group, most of whom are training in addiction psychiatry at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, were on a study visit to learn how addiction is treated in private and state facilities in Thailand.
Alastair Mordey, Program Director of The Cabin Chiang Mai Rehab, will come together with America’s top addiction treatment specialists to exchange knowledge about the latest advancements in treatment at the 6th Annual West Coast Symposium on Addictive Disorders (WCSAD), in La Quinta, CA from the 28th – 31st of May 2015.
Alastair Mordey, Program Director of The Cabin Chiang Mai rehab will be joining other leaders in addiction treatment at the UK/European Symposium on Addictive Disorders (UKESAD) – the UK’s largest addiction care event held from 4th to 6th May, 2015.
On February 26th, former clients of The Cabin Chiang Mai – Asia’s leading addiction treatment centre – from America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and around Asia flew into Chiang Mai, Thailand, for their 2015 Alumni Reunion and to celebrate the rehab’s 5th Anniversary.

The group, who are enrolled in the university’s Special Programme for Alcohol and Drug Abuse, were on a study visit to learn how addiction is treated in private and state facilities in Thailand.
Alastair Mordey, Programme Director of The Cabin Chiang Mai addiction treatment centre will be joining Asia’s leading addiction professionals at the International Drug Prevention and Rehabilitation Conference – PREVENT 2014 in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan on 15-16 October, 2014. The Conference aims to enable delegates will share their knowledge and expertise with the goal of improving current addiction prevention strategies and rehabilitation standards currently employed in the region.
The Cabin Chiang Mai hosted a facility visit for a group of officials from the Thai Juvenile Observation and Protection Department, Ministry of Justice, who were interested in learning about the most effective treatment approach to use with addicted youngsters.
The Cabin Chiang Mai, Asia’s leading inpatient addiction treatment centre, recently launched its new Alumni Community website – a free comprehensive aftercare service for clients who complete treatment, to help them maintain lifelong recovery wherever they live in the world.
The Cabin Chiang Mai Addiction Rehab’s Aftercare Provider, psychologist Cameron Brown will share with a 250 strong congregation of mental health professionals and AA members, the merits of The Cabin’s unique version of the 12 Steps at the Victoria Alcoholics Anonymous Anniversary Event in Melbourne on June 10th 2014.
Former clients from as far as South America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and, of course, Asia flew into Chiang Mai, Thailand; to congregate on the beautiful riverside lawns of The Cabin Rehab, Asia’s leading addiction treatment centre, for its first Alumni Reunion after four years in operation.
